well worth the investment to help prevent skin break downs from cheap thin vinyl that will crack..i feel this commode seat will last for years

don't compromise the integrity of your skin with cheaply made imputations made out of vinyl. i've been wheelchair bound for 3 decades. i had one like this, but i broke it in half by my fault after 15 years (my design flaw) i opted to buy a cheap vinyl commode seat and it the foam was thin and vinyl cracked after a few years. this commode seat is NOT made out of cheap vinyl. i assume it is made out of polyurethane. it is as if the manufacturer dipped it liquid. in result, no seams, a lot thicker skin, more years of flex.. (the cheap vinyl ones are heat seam sealed and in a few years the vinyl will crack) it has moderate density foam that is about 2 inches or so thick.(not too hard, not too soft) it does not come with hardware, but i am sure if you ask, the company, they will find a work around solution.. for my application, i plan on sealing the existing holes, for its intended application/shower chair/bench with epoxy and using stainless steel hardware from a local hardware store to prevent water damage, to fit my design, because i custom made my shower bench out of 305 stainless steel.. super fast shipping.
